Self Sufficient Home

Building Overview

A simple 2 bedroom home designed around its own water storage with roofs shaped to harvest power and water, delivering a potentially off-grid home.

The inclusion of the water tanks into the middle of the building design allows for the valuable thermal mass of the water to assist in delivering a comfortable internal environment. The roof over the living area allows winter sun to enter deep into the house, while the southern side of the butterfly roof is perfectly shaped to support photovoltaic panels.
